Holi!
We had a wonderful time learning about the festival of Holi last week! We began by watching a short clip to help us understand what Holi is and why it is celebrated. The children then took part in a range of fun and creative activities. They enjoyed exploring colourful playdough, designing their own Holi-themed shirts, and experimenting with colour mixing in the tuff tray. We then moved outside for an exciting messy play session! The children had lots of fun using paints and chalks to make each other colourful while learning that the different colours used during Holi represent happiness, love, and new beginnings.
To finish our celebrations, we worked together to throw colourful water balloons onto a large parachute, creating a beautiful burst of colour. The children enjoyed getting messy and of course having the opportunity to throw paint everywhere. Happy Holi everyone!
