World First Aid Day!

We’ve been celebrating World First Aid Day at St Marks Preschool!

We’ve been helping the children learn all about first aid — what it is, why it is important and when somebody might need it. We shared the brilliant Mini First Aid story, The Mini Adventures of Freddie, which helped the children understand that we might need first aid if we fall and graze our knee, bump our head or hurt ourselves — and that sometimes even grown-ups might need first aid too! We also talked about how we can get help in an emergency and learned that we can ring 999 when we need urgent help.As you can see, the children have taken part in lots of fun activities and experiences, practising their first aid skills through play and learning how we can help to look after ourselves and others. Well done everyone! We think we’ve got some little first aid superstars on our hands!
